Woodlands Retirement Community is the unique result of the cooperative, multi-year efforts of owner, architect and residents in selecting a site, developing an operational program and designing a facility that offers the community an affordable, high-quality retirement home. The design features a centrally located community building, sized to accommodate future growth, flanked by three congregate living wings and a fourth wing licensed dually as a skilled nursing home and personal care home

The interior and exterior of the building are designed with residential scale and character, borrowing forms and features from local home architecture, including front porches, turrets, fireplaces, divided-light windows, six panel doors, extensive wood moulding, and open stairwells. The magnificent hill-top site is graced with three ponds, waterfalls and walking paths.
