A major difference between JMM Architects and other firms is the principal involvement of the architects in each project. Our architects work as a team to design and plan each nursing, skilled nursing, retirement, assisted living, and elder care home and community. Mike Milligan, the Principal of JMM Architects, is personally involved in all phases of the nursing, skilled nursing, retirement, assisted living, and elder care home and community design and planning. He is an Architect first, enjoying the practice much more than business management. At many other firms, the principal performs only business functions and may have little involvement in projects. Consequently, the entire accumulated experience of the firm may not be focused upon each job, and the individuals assigned to the design of a nursing, skilled nursing, retirement, assisted living, and elder care home and community may have considerably less experience with a particular building type than is required to achieve optimum results and client satisfaction.
JMM Architects is an associate member of AAHSA, AOPHA, OALA, and OHCA, and actively participates in these organizations. We are recognized nationally and regionally for our knowledge of retirement facility development and often speak at seminars dealing with the design of new construction and renovation of facilities serving the elderly.
As a very cost conscious design firm, we have an excellent reputation for providing good value to our clients in our completed projects. We have been very successful at estimating construction costs and bringing our projects in on budget. Our extensive project experience also helps significantly in projecting costs and establishing realistic budgets early in the development process.
We are a medium sized architectural firm ideally suited for most elderly service projects.
